Weekend Lunch Has Arrived in Point Loma

The lunch you remember from Japan — quiet, precise, unhurried — is now on the table in San Diego, three days a week.

For years, guests have asked us the same question on their way out the door: “Why aren’t you open for lunch?” Starting this month, we are. Nagisa Sushi now serves lunch every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at our Point Loma location, minutes from Ocean Beach.

Lunch, the Japanese Way

In Japan, lunch is not a smaller version of dinner — it is its own craft. Our lunch service follows that tradition: seasonal fish cut to order, rice seasoned and held at body temperature the way it should be, and the kind of attentive, unforced hospitality — omotenashi — that regular visitors to Japan will recognize immediately.

We’re a small, family-run room, and weekend lunch seats are limited. Walk-ins are welcome, but a reservation is the surest way to a seat at the counter.
